Full service distribution and wholesaler of Japanese-inspired, natural, fine foods
GHG Logistics is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genji, Inc. With the main warehouse located in Allentown, PA, at the crossroads of multiple regional and national roadways, GHG Logistics is ideally situated to meet all of Genji’s warehouse and distribution needs. The satellite warehouse in New York’s Long Island City (Queens) is just minutes away from Manhattan. With these two strategically located facilities, GHG is the warehousing and distribution vendor of choice for several national companies in the foodservice arena.
With 40,000 square feet of racked warehouse space, GHG Logistics’ Allentown facilities manage and maintain nearly all of Genji, Inc.’s dry goods, refrigerated and frozen food inventory. With state-of-the-art warehouse management systems, and a dedicated team of logistics professionals, daily orders are fulfilled and shipped to over 140 locations in 19 states, with the capacity to expand seamlessly. The warehouse facilities continuously implement an array of eco-friendly initiatives which limit any negative impacts to the environment while reducing our carbon foot print. The green-warehouse operations include low-energy motion-sensitive lighting, which shuts off when no movement is detected; electric forklifts and pallet jacks, using low-energy AC motors; cardboard box reuse and recycling; and pallet exchange with suppliers, who are also vetted for their green-friendly practices.
In addition to 35,000 square feet of racked dry goods storage space, the Allentown facility of GHG Logistics includes a 3,000sq ft racked refrigeration unit at +38°F and a 2,000sq ft racked freezer unit at -30°F, where every type of ingredient used in the operation of sushi and Asian restaurants is stored. GHG’s fleet of custom-designed trucks are outfitted with industry-leading triple-temperature storage compartments (ambient, +38°F and -30°F) so as to maintain the appropriate temperature of the goods throughout the delivery process. GHG is the first company to use this type of triple-temperature trailers in the USA. The trucks are California certified for low emissions, and the trailers can connect to electric circuits during the loading process, to prevent burning diesel fuel, unnecessarily.
Coverage currently extends on the East Coast from Portland, ME, to Miami, FL, and as far West as the Mississippi river.
